Slides available for several talks, with more on the way. Click on the talk titles below for a page with an abstract and links to the slides. A participants list is available in PDF format (PDF to slow down spammers).
Friday 25 July, 2003, Monash University, Clayton. Law School Theatre L3, Building 12. (Just SW of the Menzies tower, on Ring Road South). Click on the image for full map and parking information.
Lunch and tea will be catered, but you should register.
We'd like to invite you to our one-day workshop: Modeling with Bayesian Networks. Professor Richard Neapolitan (author of Probabilistic Reasoning in Expert Systems, 1988, and Learning Bayesian Networks, 2003) will be speaking.
The workshop has a practical focus. Experts from a variety of fields will present and discuss their Bayesian network models and/or potential applications. We intend for participants to discuss problems and ideas, share techniques, and explore possible collaborations. We especially encourage industry analysts who are considering using Bayesian networks or other Bayesian methods for data analysis. The initial section will provide a brief introduction to Bayesian net technology.
If you would like to attend, please reply to: Charles Twardy, ctwardy@csse.monash.edu.au, (03) 9905 5823.
The format is about 40 minutes for presentation, 20 minutes for discussion. The first presentation will go longer.
