I will be attending the Colloquium this Wednesday, and of course I urge you to do the same. This conflicts with my Wednesday office hours, so I am cancelling those office hours -- come Tuesday or send email. If discussion continues past 6, it may pre-empt CausaliTea. But take heart! They have both refreshments and philosophy at the Colloquium!.

Instructor: Dr. Charles Twardy
Dr. Twardy studies causation, causal inference, and the perception of causation. He has a dual Ph.D. in the History & Philosophy of Science and Cognitive Science from Indiana University, and did his postdoctoral work on Bayesian networks in Computer Science & Software Engineering at Monash University.

If the middle column is really narrow, let me know what browser you are using, and (slowly) I'll try to fix it. The pages display well on Firefox 3, IE6, & IE7. However, the middle column has been too narrow on Safari, IE8, and Firefox 2. In the meantime, smaller font often helps.
